Ideally you will have motor industry experience and may have worked in a variety of roles, including mechanic, technician, body repair, etc., we would like to hear from you as your skills will be transferable and we provide full in-house cross training on all our installation products.

General Labourer/Driver

We are looking to recruit a motivated, energetic, and ambitious individual.  You may already be in a similar role or be looking for an opportunity to change roles, if so, we are interested in hearing from you, and in return we will give you the chance to develop and progress your future career with us.  The ideal candidate must have a Driving License as there will be an element of driving required within the role to move parts and items amongst SMUK locations.  Tasks will include, but not limited to collection and delivery of parts, collection/drop-off of SMUK Driver from/to customer locations.  General site maintenance as required including general labourer duties such as housekeeping/organising/tidying up of workshop/stores etc.  We provide full in-house training in our systems and procedures.

Workshop Installation Engineers

We are looking to recruit skilled and motivated individuals who are ambitious and want to expand their skills and experience to develop their future career with us. The position requires confident Engineers who can work to a high standard on their own initiative and as part of a Team.  You will possess excellent communication and customer service skills, with a polite and professional manner.  A full UK Driving License is not essential for Workshop Engineers but would be an advantage.

Service Engineers – Mobile

We are looking to recruit skilled and motivated individuals who are ambitious and want to expand their skills and experience to develop their future career with us. Trainee Installation Engineers

SM UK are looking for the next generation of Trainee Installation Engineers to begin their career with us.

Service Engineers

Warranty & Service team

Location: Leeds, Midlands, Oxford, Milton Keynes, Cambridge & UK

Job Type: Full Time 45hrs, Permanent, Monday – Friday, 06:00 – 18:00, Saturdays as and when required

Salary: £30,115 basic per annum, plus overtime after 45hrs at time and a half, potential to earn in excess of £40,000pa

The position requires confident Engineers who can work to a high standard on their own initiative or as part of a Team.  You will possess excellent communication and customer service skills, with a polite and professional manner.  A full UK Driving License is required.

Your duties will include, but not limited to, attending service and warranty calls in relation to our installations of the following products on commercial vehicles:

  • Reverse Camera & Vehicle CCTV installations
  • Vehicle Safety Equipment
  • Visual Warning Equipment
  • Sensors and Radar installations
  • Specialist Vehicle installations
  • Lighting and Beacons
  • Attending service calls within our agreed Service Level Agreements
  • Supporting field and workshop engineers
  • Providing information and feedback to the Service Manager

Coachbuilder, Van Conversion

We are looking to recruit a skilled and motivated individual who is ambitious and wants to expand their skills and experience to develop their future career with us. Ideally you will have coachbuilding/bodybuilding experience and may have worked in a variety of roles.  Tasks will include working on many different welfare van conversion projects, therefore excellent general wood/metal and fabrication skills are required.  Full in-house training will be provided for all our build specifications.

You will be required to work to a high standard both on your own initiative and as part of the Welfare Team.  Alongside hands-on practical skills, you will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, dealing with a variety of tasks in a polite and professional manner, with an awareness of Health and Safety within a workshop environment. A full UK Driving License would be an advantage but not essential.
