Looking to get in touch with someone at our company? We have a number of departments that are there to help you with your specific needs.
Find which department you require below and find the correct contact information you need and who is in the team to speak to them directly.
Our Admin department, based from our Head Office in Leeds, is currently made up of 3 members. As well as providing support to the office they can also be a point of contact and help for our fleet of engineers that are out on the road across the UK, and other departments should they be required.
In the team we have Casey Wray and Jane McDermott who both play a pivotable role in the day to day running of the office and business.
We also have Clare Dixon, Sales Admin Manager. Clare bridges the gap between the sales team, customers and the internal bookings team at SM UK. As well as notifying customers of when their projects have been completed, she works with our bookings team on arranging new jobs that require completion.
To get in touch with any of these team members, they can be reached through enquiries@smfleet.co.uk or by calling the office on 0845 388 3816.
At SM UK we are proud to say that we have our own internal Bookings team. The team use an in-house designed system which is controlled centrally at our Head Office in Leeds and is used to distribute our projects out to our national engineering team.
Service Manager, Jason Chesman works with our team of engineers as well as our Bookings team to ensure projects are carried out in a timely manor and is one of many points of contact for our customers should they need to speak with someone.
Matthew Williams is our Bookings Manager. Also based from our Head Office in Leeds, Matthew manages our bookings diary, and allocates projects that require completion. Supported by Clare and Wayne, Matthew makes sure that all jobs are completed at a time suitable for the customer and the relevant engineer.
Wayne Scherer provides support to Matthew by being our internal Service Desk Executive. Wayne's role is to provide support to our customers should they experience an issue and require an engineer to visit the vehicle to properly assess what the fault could be.
Should you wish to speak with any of the above to report an issue, or require some form of support, contact them on 0845 388 3816 or email 'bookings@smfleet.co.uk'
Engineers
Our engineering team is constantly expanding, with an additional 6 engineers been employed just last year to support the level of work that is coming into the business. This takes our engineering team to a strong 40. To enable us to provide a high level of support to all of our clients across the UK, we have strategically employed an engineering team to make sure that we have maximum coverage of the UK. We carry out a lot of our projects on customer sites, so each engineer has their own van provided to be able to get to and from the site where the job is.
Logistics
Also having access to our in-house Job board, the Stock & Warehouse Coordinator Adam Wright ensures, with the help of Brian Norton, the correct equipment is sent to the correct site to allow the engineer to carry out their job.
In 2018 we opened our first Vehicle Conversion facility in Gildersome, Leeds. The 10,000 sq.ft facility is located perfectly within 1/2 a mile of national motorway network, making it easy for our customers to bring their vehicles to us to carry out safety installations as well as any service calls to need addressing. As part of this expansion, and to take our customer service to the next level, we also employed Paul Willacy, a qualified HGV driver who will collect your vehicle that requires a safety installation (if it hasn't already been dropped at our facility) and will return to your site once the work has been completed.
To get in touch about or with any of the above members of staff call 0845 388 3816 or email them through bookings@smfleet.co.uk
Our Finance team is run by Kim Fisher, our Credit Controller and has been with SM UK for a number of years now. She's in charge of invoicing and dealing with payments and can help if you need assistance with information on how to pay us.
Kim is in our office in Leeds Monday to Friday, 9am until 1pm, and outside of these hours, she is assisted by Jane McDermott and Casey Wray from the admin team.
To get in touch with us regarding payments or anything finance related, contact the team on 0845 388 3816 or email accounts@smfleet.co.uk.
Sales
Obviously without the function of Sales and Marketing, our centre wouldn't be full and our engineers wouldn't have the work to complete. Paul Currie heads up the sales team as well as looking after his own group of clients. The rest of the team is laid out as follows:
Lloyd Williams looks after the North of England up into South Scotland where necessary. This includes anything north of Lincolnshire, Derbyshire. Staffordshire and Shropshire. Should you be anywhere north of these counties and require a free consultation, contact Lloyd to see how we can best assist you and your requirements. All contact details are below.
Ben Lawrence is our Business Development Manager for the Midlands (East and West). Including the counties listed above, Ben is the person to contact should you need any assistance on our systems and what they can be installed onto in your fleet of vehicles. He looks after everywhere above Herefordshire, Warwickshire, Northamptonshire and Cambridgeshire. Anything south of this is monitored by Dave...
Dave Searle is SM UK's Southern Business Development Manager. Just like Lloyd and Ben, Dave has his own area which he looks after. This is anything South of the counties Ben is in charge of, and also includes London. After being with SM UK for a number of years now, Dave is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to what SM UK can offer and help you be the safest and most compliant you can be using the best systems we have to offer.
As part of our expansion into the Van Conversion market, we employed Chris Walton as a Business Development Manager for our Van Conversion sector. Chris has helped to forge relationships with industry-known supplies such as Sortimo and Rhino Products. By working with these companies, Chris has already helped some of our existing clients develop and improve their professionalism and efficiency by having a solution manufactured by one of the above companies installed into their vehicles.
All of our dedicated to improving your fleet safety and helping your businesses to meet new safety levels set out by industries, organisations such as FORS (Fleet Operators Recognition Scheme) Silver, FORS Gold and companies such as HS2 as well. Should you need to get in touch with, or enquire about any of SM UK's services for your business, all the contact information you require is below.
Marketing
2018 also saw the introduction and further expansion of the Marketing team. James Shippen joined the business in June 2018 as a Marketing Manager to develop and grow the Marketing department and help create a brand awareness amongst our potential clients and industry. As well as managing the social media accounts, event schedule and overall marketing strategy, James is assisted by Harrogate based PR agency - Appeal PR. Appeal are a B2B agency that have already assisted SM UK in getting their brand known to a wider audience.
