Ford & Slater DAF aid Emergency Response Vehicles… Officially, Hit the Road!

Ford & Slater, one of DAF Trucks’ largest and most successful UK franchise dealer groups, have invested over £350,000 into a fleet of seven brand new FORD Transit DAF aid roadside assistance vehicles.

Ford & Slater, one of DAF Trucks’ largest and most successful UK franchise dealer groups, have invested over £350,000 into a fleet of seven brand new FORD Transit DAFaid roadside assistance vehicles, the first of which will be officially rolled out in Leeds, Sheffield, Stockton, and Birtley this week.

The new vehicles are equipped with state-of-the-art System Edström racking and precision fitted and designed by SM UK.  Ford and Slater Dealer Principal Richard Popplewell, said: “SM UK has done an outstanding job from acquiring the vans on our behalf, designing and converting the interior to meet the our requirements.”

Richard added, “These seven vehicles will play a vital role in providing a rapid roadside response, strengthening our commitment to delivering consistently high aftersales service to truck operators.”

The Chairman of SM UK Steve MacDonald said, “We have a strong team of designers and engineers who genuinely go that extra mile, making sure we provide a vehicle spec that works for the client whether we are providing one or a hundred vehicles.”

As a result, SM UK have an impressive range of clients from the NHS to utility companies to Ford & Slater Group, with their newly acquired DAF aid vehicles.
